l'Eco di Bru
“ When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.

Financial Crisis
I am worried about what is happening in US of A. We were all looking at this country, with awe, due to its economic power and now the news is that the system is slowly crumbling. The recent debacle relating to AIG and the fallen Lehman Brothers almost brings the employees in every other MNCs' a thought or two about there own employment status. The Government, through Mr. Chidambaram has assured that we are not much effected since our exposures are miniscule. Man of many words, Mr. Montek says that ""We have not been as exposed to these new and innovative instruments, which have been the source of financial distress internationally... So I do not think that direct impact on the Indian financial system is going to be significant at all," .....so thats a big relief.

"Symptoms of Inner Peace"
Some signs and symptoms of inner peace: * A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
* An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
* A loss of interest in judging other people.
* A loss of interest in judging self.
* A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.
* A loss of interest in conflict.
* A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom.)
* Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
* Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.
* Frequent attacks of smiling.
* An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.
* An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

Empty Mind
For the past two weeks, I am out of job, that means, there is little to think and worry about. The problem having plenty of time in hand is that that I don't know what to do with it. There is this little tension which keeps sleep away from me. I feel as if I am missing the world when I am asleep....

Mistakes
“Do not brood over your past mistakes and failures as this will only fill your mind with grief, regret and depression. Do not repeat them in the future.” - Swami Vivekanda
I would like to keep the dates I have with my journals. It would have been interesting, had I, faithfully kept a dairy and recorded all the events in my life. The worrying thing about me is that I don't remember my mistakes...I am been contended with my life and still I keep doing mistakes again and again. It is better to write down how I felt when a mistake has occurred...it is good to revisit that feeling so that the mistake is not repeated again.

Dreams Of Desire`
This poem totally touched my heart...
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon…
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it
or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own,
if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day.
And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes.”
It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
